Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

Grades 6-12: Math mastery through a blend of methods: (1)Conceptual first: Build understanding before procedures using manipulatives, visuals, and real-world connections. (2)Active engagement: Promote participation via inquiry, collaboration, and technology. (3) practice and extra materials as students need or request

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

Yes,I have plenty experience with online teaching of maths. I use Zoom meeting and its apps to facilitate our class, which are seamless and very efficient.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

Geometry, Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Calculus. I keep updated with following the curricula changes and official documents as well as resources online.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I communicate mainly via (1) record on progress, which they can view at any time (2) email monthly or bimonthly on the class (3) messaging when it is neccesary to address some issues that can be solved in a short-term manner

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes, I can provide all materials and search more matertials as students need.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

I revise the concept and we walkthrough the exercises together. I tend to guide at the beginning and nudge the student to take steps in order to finish the task. They usually end up capable of solving the questions independently.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

As an expert teacher, I do know when student are receptive with the concept or need more support. If so, I try to break things down. Provide a clean space and let them help me work out the solution, so it builds up their confidence. I communicate regulary with my students on topics they need support in advance and where they feel need to learn more. Communication with students and parents is key.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

No
