IGCSEs, A-levels, IB and Bachelor's degree
(1) I make sure the student share with me all the objectives of the class and assignment including rubric (or course syllabus) (2) I prepare by reading through instruction and see the list of suggested texts (3) I also ask the student to do the same, so when we meet, we candiscuss on the student's idea of the assignment and the direction they wish to take it. Then we plan the work (4) I can support when the students need clarification on ideas and some explanation of specific issues. (5) I can help giving feedback on how the draft assignment is, with comments on how it can be improved
(1) I provide progress document which can be viewed by parents and student at any time (2) I organise all materials on Google Classroom (3) I provide some test and revision
-Yes, unless the student request that there be no question. The system is usually a student-led work, and I give the feedback once they submit it to me. -When we meet in class, we discuss on where the concept is misunderstood, how the plan could be re-arranged and what new approch could be taken etc. -I respect student ownership of their work and remain open to their ideas, except in cases of factual inaccuracy or flawed reasoning. Additionally, I may offer suggestions on language tone to further enhance the final product.
Political sciences requires a lot of reading and analysis. So I would suggest reading, reading together using PDF collaborative platform, collaborative tools to work on project while we meet on zoom, Google classroom and and LMS to help with factual memorisation. In addition, I send links of interesting podcast and news for my students to listen to or make an analysis as a homework.
