I have taught Chemistry in high school, including IBDP and IGCSE syllabi. A lot of students think of Chemistry as a difficult subject because of the abstract nature of many of the concepts. In order to help students understand better, I bring context into the learning process. This means I use relatable examples in life to explain chemistry concepts. I try to use our online session as efficiently as possible, and that is why I give a practice worksheet before or after the meeting. Another thing that is important in learning is asking questions. All questions from the students are greatly appreciated as they help me gauge the students' progress and understanding. Read less

Before the class, I may send a pre-class worksheet to gauge the students' level and as a material for discussion during class. The students are welcome to ask any other questions they have about the topic. Whenever the topic concerns an experiment, I may refer to YouTube videos, some of which are from my own channel, and explain some important points about the video. I use relevant examples to bring context into the learning and give practice questions to test the students' understanding. Read less
